Micha Hamel and the DoelenKwartet
in ‘Concertzender Live’

The cream of present day string quartets were to be heard during the festival ‘November Music 2014’.

As well as the Kronos Quartet from America, the Brodsky Quartet and Arditti Quartets
from England, and the Quatuor Bozzini from Canada, the DoelenKwartet and the Ragazze Kwartet from the Netherlands were also represented.

On Tuesday 14th April from 15:00
- 17:00 you can hear the usual ‘November Music’ broadcast. This will include the first complete performance of Micha Hamels composition ‘Nous Deux’, based on the works of the French poet Paul Éluard, performed by the soprano Renate Arends and the DoelenKwartet.

Thiswill be preceded by the cycle ‘Nachtwerk’ by the poet Micha Hamel. This work was set to music by the Dutch/Greek composer Aspasia Nasopoulou, and will be presented by Micha Hamel himself. He will be accompanied by the DoelenKwartet, consisting of Frank de Groot en Maartje Kraan (violin), Karin Dolman (viola) and Hans Woudenberg (cello). A special performance of this work by
the Kronos Quartet during the festival November Music can
still be heard ‘on demand’ via
