More Terra Incognita, more pepper |

Terra Incognita has until now been a monthly programme and was broadcast on a Thursday evening. From November the frequency of the programme will be increased to two times each month. The day and time of the broadcasts will also change, our exploration of small, independent blues, folk and poplabels can now be heard every 3rd and 4th Wednesday of the month from 22:00 to 23:00 CET.‘Relax the ear and discover the Lustre’ is the motto of this programme. Terra Incognita
is a journey into the world of the often unknown musicians who are not
linked to the large, commercial labels and therefore have the freedom
to fully express their creativity. The first programme was broadcast in
February this year and to date the series has generally featured
down-tempo, atmospheric music from many different genres. The content of the programmes will be changing. Programme maker and presenter Fred Wittenberg: “Terra Incognita is for the music fan with a wide range of interests and the willingness to be surprised. Folk, pop and blues with an occasional piece of classical music are brought together in an intriguing mix. There won't be much talking during the programme, it is all about the music. The original concept - down-tempo, atmospheric songs - remains unchanged, but I do want to try and add some pepper in to the mix. The contrasts will sometimes be extremer and this will keep the progamme exciting. Terra Incognita 2.0 will also feature more singer/songwriters from France, Germany and also from non-European countries alongside the English-speaking artists that have been featured to date. The programme will offer a range of music that can rarely be heard elsewhere on the Dutch radio. Tune in and be surprised…” Terra Incognita programmes in November:
