The 500th programme in our daily series Bach ad Infinitum was broadcast on Friday 3 November. This was an exceptional milestone for several reasons
as well as being the 500th episode, the series also celebrated its 5th
anniversary on 5 November, and it was also the final programme
with presenter Joop van Zijl.
The
500th episode was a special programme featuring the favourite Bach
music of all of the people that are involved in making the programme.
Programme maker Govert Jan Bach, Concertzender director Sem de Jongh
(who originally conceived the programme), presenter Joop van Zijl,
coordinator of our Early Music programmes Irene Stolp and the two
technicians responsible for the programmes introduced their favourites
and you could listen to excerpts from each of the pieces.

The programme can also be heard on demand via the Concertzender website and the app. Bach ad infinitum
will be continuing from Monday 13 November in a new format. Govert
Jan Bach will be presenting the programme, albeit more so on the
Mondays than on the other days of the week. So for the time
being you can continue to listen to Bach ad Infinitum every day on the Concertzender!
