The
yearly festival for adventurous music Rewire in Den Haag is taking
place at the end of this month, from Friday 31st March to Sunday 2nd
April. Rewire presents a broad programme with the focus on contemporary
electronic music, neoclassical music, new jazz, experimental pop, sound
art and multi disciplinary cooperations. The Concertzender is proud to
be their mediapartner this year.
A
selection from the varied programme during the festival. On Friday
the collaboration between Daniel Wohl, Slagwerkgroep Den Haag and the
Matangi Quartet and a performance by Pete Harden & Ensemble Klang.
On
Saturday the band Swans are playing, Daniel Lanois presents his
instrumental soloshow, Jace Clayton plays his unique tribute to the
deceased composer Julius Eastman and synthesizer pioneer Peter
Zinovieff presents his collaboration with cellist Lucy Railton.
On
Sunday the festival concludes with unique collaborations between
afrobeat-legend Tony Allen and techno-icon Jeff Mills, and between
electronics-producer Kangding Ray and Mogwai's Barry Burns. Also on
Sunday the return of the artrock-collective This Heat, the ethereal
sounds of The Chi Factory and Ryan Teague, and unique jazz performances
by Sarathy Korwar and the Jameszoo Quintet.
There are also various film screenings, lectures and workshops over all three days.

Over
the coming weeks the Concertzender will be previewing the festival
several times and also during Rewire 2017 we'll be present for concert
recordings and live broadcasts on location.
