On Friday 10th March we're making another recording for Acoustic Roots in De Kargadoor in Utrecht. Our guests will be the project Neighbors alias Simone Bottasso & Reza Mirjalali. You're once more welcome to be present at this intimate concert!

The Neighbors project is a meeting between the music of East and West, aiming at a better neighbourly relationship, by sharing and recognising common human and cultural values.

Simone & Reza say: “In these fragile times, we believe that only via music and art is it possible to resist the difficulties, prejudices and fears with which the media confront us every day.“Neighbors

Reza Mirjalali - tar, ud

Reza Mirjalali was born in Iran (Teheran) in 1989. At the age of twelve he learnt how to play the tar from his father Shahram Mirjalali. At seventeen he toured with his father and worked together with other bands and musicians from diverse musical genres. He won music competitions in Iran in the areas of improvisation and solo music. He wishes to bridge the gap between East and West cultures through music. For this reason he moved to the Netherlands in 2013 , where he works with different ensembles (Persian traditional music, Ottoman music, jazz, pop). He is also a duo with his father. He's currently studying at the Codarts Conservatorium in Rotterdam.
