A new website! |

Listeners to the Concertzender cannot have missed it: our website has changed. We had reached the limits of the old website. The new one already feels familiar and offers us many new possibilities for the future.Director Sem de Jongh explains: “The new website was essential to be able to host the ConcertPodium. ConcertPodium
is an online archive of concert recordings from various organisations
such as Gaudeamus and the New Ensemble, all of whom have close
relationships with the Concertzender. At the moment, these recordings
are still being added to the site. The old site had been created more
than 15 years ago and was no longer suitable for such a major addition,
it was better to start again.” Inspirational idea “The idea of creating a new website was an inspiration for me. It offerred the possibility to rethink the presentation of all the content that is available at the Concertzender and to make it more accesible to a broader public using the latest technologies. We are a radiostation but also offer many additional possibilities such as theme channels, radio-on-demand, livestreams and now also the ConcertPodium. The challenge was to make all of this available through a clear and easy-to-use user interface.”Wave forms “I think we have met this challenge with the slider concept and the use of wave forms. You can easily scroll through the possibilities on a PC and swipe through them on a tablet. We also now offer recommendations based on the music that you have listened to on the site, but of course you can still use the familiar programme guide. You can find that by clicking on the 'hamburger' (the three stripes) at the top-left of each page. That also provides access to the ConcertPodium and to general information about the Concertzender.” We would like to hear your opinion on the new website.
