Concert recordings in December: Christmas concerts |

In the course of a year our technicians record around 250 concerts. This year they recorded 40 concerts during the Early Music Festival in Utrecht. These will be broadcast over the coming weeks on the Concertzender.This
year our regular technician Wijnand de Groot was not available, so we
used technicians who could step in at short notice. Many thanks! Christmas concerts In December the Concertzender will be recording three Early Music Christmas concerts: Christmas with Wishful Singing Combattimento and Wishful Singing: a sparkling combination for a delightful Christmas concert full of charming Christmas music by Charpentier from the French Baroque, the ‘Christmas concerto’ by Arcangelo Corelli, the famous Gloria by Antonio Vivaldi and a-capella arrangements of well-known christmas songs. Dates: 10th December in Hillegersberg, 11th December in Tilburg, 14th December in Eindhoven, 24th December in Amsterdam and 25th December in Den Haag. Christmas music from seven countries on seven instruments by La Sfera Armoniosa La Sfera Armoniosa takes you on a journey back in time to seven countries, to celebrate the birth of baby Jesus. Christmas with Josquin: Polyphony around the manger Cappella Pratensis sing some of the loveliest works by Josquin Desprez which were sung in Ferrara over Christmas, such as the dramatic recounting of the announcement in Missus est Gabriel and the breathaking cycle O admirabile commercium. Date: 18 December 20:00, Geertekerk Utrecht These concerts will be broadcast around Christmas and the New Year.
